After being fired as guitarist for Metallica, the legendary guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Dave Mustaine founded MEGADETH. The multi-platinum selling and Grammy Award-winning thrashmetal band is known for their heavy and powerful guitar sound. This is why Gibson and Dave Mustaine teamed up to create the new Gibson Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Artist model.

With a 25,5” scale mahogany neck, an ebony fretboard with compound fretboard radius and 24 medium jumbo frets this beast is ready for some serious shredding. The finishing touching on the neck are the double mother of pearl “teeth” inlays and an Explorer-style headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic Tuners and a Graph Tech nut.
The Flying V-style mahogany body is equipped with an all black chrome Tune-O-Matic bridge, a Stop Bar tailpiece, and a set of Dave Mustaine signature Seymour Duncan Trash Factor pickup set. The Antique Natural nitrocellulose finish gives it a classic look.
A hardshell case with a silhouette of Dave playing is also included.
