Fender American standard

"THE STANDARD IN MUSIC"!

This is it: the heart of Fender and the two archetypal guitars that have rocked the world for more than half a century—the Stratocaster and Telecaster. The original American Standard series defined modern-era Fender quality from 1986 to 2000; the modern American Standard series debuted in 2008 and encompasses, pure and simple, the latest U.S.-built versions of two design classics.

BODYWOOD:

Fender American standard guitars are crafted with premium ash and alder bodies. Sonically, ash is slightly brighter and has a lot of pop, while alder typically produces the most balanced tone, with equal highs, mids and lows.

NECK, FINGERBOARD AND FRETS:

Fender American standard necks are maple, which sounds bright and has great sustain, and are sculpted with a comfortable medium thickness and modern C shape. Fingerboards are maple or rosewood, wich sounds big and warm, and have a 9.5”radius, which is flatter than vintage-style boards. Medium jumbo frets deliver modern feel and improved playability.

CUSTOM SHOP PICKUPS:

Nearly all Fender American standard instruments are equipped with specially voiced Fender Customs Shop pickups, wich offer classic Fender tones from warm, sparkling and dynamic for the guitars. These pickups put a touch of the Fender “Dream Factory” into the ´American Standard” series.

MODERN BRIDGES:

Fender American standard guitars have modern bridges that contribute greater sustain, better resonance, more fluid tremolo action and solid tuning and intonation stability. The guitar bridges have improved bent-steel saddles.
